OJUKWU’s – PETITION
Background: Freedom of Expression in Nigeria is greatly at an explosive stage that if urgent attention by the U.S. government and lawmakers is not paid in the next few days, may result in another civil war. The present situation has to do with the support giving by the former leader and Presidential Candidate of one the Political parties in Nigeria, Chief Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, to a non violent ethnic group called MASSOB (Movement for the Sovereign State Of Biafra), who felt that the Igbo ethnic group, one of the three major tribes in Nigeria had been continuously marginalized and denied their democratic freedom to chose their leaders.

Race, Religion and Murder in Germany
Report by Gyavira Lasana (EAC Correspondent )
On April 16 (day before Easter), at about 4am, at a bus stop in Potsdam (just outside Berlin), a 37-year-old black German of Ethiopian descent was severely beaten by (apparently) two white neo-Nazis and robbed of 200 euros. The black man, identified by authorities as Ermays M., was talking to his wife on his cell phone when the attack occurred, and police, in an unusual move, actually released the recorded attack on a website to help apprehend the suspects. Ermays, a scientist (Wissenschaftler) with a German wife and three small children, remains hospitalized in Potsdam in critical condition.

Many people world-wide have definitely not heard about the following African Scientists and their works: Charles Drew, Garrett Morgan, George Washington Carver, Benjamin Banneker, Elijah McCoy, Lewis Latimer, Jan Matzeliger, Granville Woods, Fred Jones, Otis Boykin and others. Their names and contributions are so important to science and humanity but long years of institutionalised discrimination and parochial ethnocentrism have made their names appear obscure in our often, monoculturally-focused history. Indisputably, Africans have made significant contributions to various areas of science. In the field of chemistry, Africans have developed synthetic drugs for the treatment of chronic ailments. In the field of physics, Africans have helped to invent laser devices for the treatment of cancer patients.
This book gives the historian, reader, researcher, students, teachers and friends of Africa the opportunity to discover inventors from a world hitherto unknown to many westerners. It is an invaluable book that discloses information on inventors who, until now have remained obscure and unknown. Black Inventors, Crafting Over 200 Years of Success, clearly outlines Black inventors from over seventy countries.
